I have a sweater like that; it belongs to my Dad but I wore the hell out of it at college. It’s a oatmeal fisherman’s sweater and it’s SO comfortable. I became known for that jumper and it was the only thing in which I felt comfortable during my formative years. At the moment, it’s residing in France but one day I shall reclaim it. Stupid as it sounds, I miss that jumper. I remember its warmth and familiarity and the way I always felt invincible when I wore it.

Moving on, can I just say you look uber-cute in that photo?!

😀 Definitely hold onto it forever…or until it completely disintegrates, whatever comes first. I have at least three articles of clothing I will probably hold onto forever. The saddest-looking one is a cable knit cardigan I inherited after my Granny died. All but three buttons are long gone, there are two, large identical holes in the armpits and while it was at one time white, it definitely is no longer. Nonetheless, I always feel great comfort and satisfaction when I wear it around the house (probably at least once a week). We need things like this in our lives. I am sure of it. ;-]
