Oh my fucking god. Nine hours to go.
One hour of that will be wasted driving home. Three hours of that will be wasted on bio. So five hours total to finish the last of my essay exam (I’m more or less finished; have notes written, just need to organize my thoughts) and write my 6-8 page communication event analysis. I’d reward myself with something awesome for surviving The Summer Term From Hell, but I’m still paying off Festival bills (and will be until at least, oh, MARCH) and would rather not spend more than I already have. Guh.
On the plus side, I’m so hopped up on coffee that when I played a few short rounds of Sudoku during lunch, I was able to shave almost an entire minute off my previous best time of 2:23. Downside of course is that soon afterwards I became so jittery that I couldn’t even hit the right number keys. That should tell you just how much damn coffee I’ve ingested. Must. Stay. AWAKE.
And I’m only blogging right now because there’s about three minutes left before it’s time to leave and I don’t want to get in the middle of a real thought and lose it all. I could lose my own ass at this point if given the opportunity…
On the Flip Side
People keep mistaking the fake cat on my desk for a real cat. And that’s just irritating. Because DUH, not a real cat. WTF? Do they forget where we work? Yeah, it’s so feasible, bringing in one’s cat. Though it’s preferable to the wailing snot-rockets they drag in here on their days off. Don’t get me wrong, I love kids. But not at work. A couple of weeks ago a coworker down the hall brought her two small sons in with her. One was still rocking the infant clothing but the other was a full-on toddler of approximately 2-3ish years of age. And he ran up and down the hallway like it was going out of style. I desperately wanted to throw my stapler at him. Seriously, who brings their kids to work?! It’s a corporate headquarters, not Romper Room. Spare me!
Next time I’m going to run a trip wire across the hallway and attach it to a sledgehammer. Yeah.
